Two hundred years ago, a hungry gypsy was caught stealing a loaf of bread, and was sentenced to time in prison. This was a common enough occurrence in those days, but this time something different was to happen. This particular prisoner had many friends, who all vowed to break him out.

The escape began at night. The gypsies snuck up to the prison under the cover of darkness, and tried to force open the doors. They pushed and strained, but the wood just wouldn’t give in to their brute strength. In desperation, they abandoned all attempts at secrecy, and set those doors alight. But they soon realised their mistake. The fire spread. It took hold in the prison building – surrounding guard and prisoner alike in flame.

When the gypsy thief realised his doom was at hand, he grew frantic, and feral. He clawed at the walls until his fingers bled, screaming incoherently. But all to no avail. He perished in the blaze that night.

Years later, another building was built over the prison’s ashes - now a simple public house. But those events still echo down through history. Tables and chairs are overturned, drinks crash to the floor, and the raking marks of fingernails appear, scratched on the walls. All the work of a frightened spirit. The panicked prisoner that gives this place its name – The Wildman.</description>

<description>The 2012 Paul Robinson produced 'The Other Side' which was filmed on location in Israel and is a UK-Israel collaboration between Little Us Films/UK Jewsh Film, written and directed Khen Shalem.

'A simple soccer ball sparks an unusual friendship between two young boys on opposite sides of the Israeli and Palestinian separation wall. Can this wordless and gaze free relationship over come the seemingly inevitable escalation of conflict, manifested by the wall’s towering presence?'

This beautifully shot film by the talented DoP Paul Robinson, is his latest work to hit the festival circuit and is yet another example of skills behind the camera. Paul has shot various award winning short films screening at prestigious film festivals around the world, most notably “Fanatic”, winning “Best Cinematography” at Born Shorts, Denmark. If you get the chance check it out.

<description>An existing company approached me in order to re brand them as they diversified from their existing specialist piano removal business. They are operating in Bath, Bristol and the surrounding areas, and were after something that looked trustworthy and traditional, they were also after a new name.

I presented them with the name Porter, evoking an image of the personal, the reliable and the traditional. A quintessential example of this being the railway porter of days gone by that you may now only see in black and white films such as Brief Encounter. The colours also borrowed from the time with echoes of the wartime RAF uniform, and were presented with a slight modern and clean twist with a traditional feel.

<description>Identity and website for the Derbyshire Film production company NOW Films. That stands for North of Watford by the way, which led me to the idea of adapting the motorway sign to include archetypal film strip. NOW Films have one or two exciting feature projects planned for this year, coming to a cinema near you. Also part of the project was the website, based around the identity, a cms site aimed at potential investors and collaborators.

<description>Fishmonger productions present the short film, Photoshopping, starring Callum Austin, Fern Britton and Joan Kempson.

Elaine Moss, celebrity photograph hunter, is on the verge of breaking a world record: a personal collection of photographs of herself taken with thousands of different celebrities over several years. Local journalist, Michael David, has come to cover Elaine's story on the day she prepares to have her record breaking photo taken with celebrity number 3,237. As the big moment arrives, and Elaine's obsession intensifies, Michael discovers darker sides to the story...

Written and directed by the talented Mark Davenport, appearing at festivals throughout 2012.
